Cookie Policy

How and why TensorHunt uses cookies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let the site remember your session, preferences, and security state across page loads. Some cookies are strictly required for the platform to work; others are optional and only set with your consent.

Cookie Inventory

The table below lists every cookie TensorHunt sets, what it is for, and how long it lasts. We also keep a few small items in your browser's own storage (not cookies, never sent to us automatically): your last search location, when you last visited, how you first reached TensorHunt (sent only with an application), dismissed notices, and sign-in security checks that last only until you close the tab. Clearing your browser data removes them.

TensorHunt does not use third-party tracking cookies. Analytics are powered by Plausible, which is entirely cookie-free and collects no personal data.

Cookie Categories

Strictly Necessary — required for authentication, session management, and storing your consent choice. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Functional — remember optional but helpful preferences such as trusted-device memory (skips MFA for 30 days on a recognised device). You can disable these at any time.

Analytics — we use Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. We don't use any other analytics or session-recording tools.

Marketing — currently not in use. This category is reserved for future personalised-ad integrations and is disabled by default.

Privacy Signals (GPC & DNT)

TensorHunt automatically honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. If your browser sends either signal, non-essential cookies are rejected without prompting you, and the preference is recorded in our consent log for compliance purposes.

Managing Your Preferences

You can review and change your cookie choices at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences in the site footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as granting it. Your updated preference takes effect immediately and is logged server-side for audit purposes.

Retention & Deletion

Consent preferences are stored for one year, after which we will ask again. You can also delete all cookies via your browser settings at any time. Note that clearing the tl_access and tl_refresh cookies will sign you out.
